Monica Walker has more than 20 years of experience working in the social and human services sector in the interest of children and families, with the last 14 years working directly with the aging population. She is currently an elder services coordinator with the Elder Justice Initiative/Unit at the Ohio Attorney General’s Office and a musician/Social Services and Outreach Committee member at Dixon United Methodist Church in Dayton, Ohio. Before joining the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, she served in various capacities within the private and nonprofit sectors throughout Ohio. Her experience includes social service coordination, advocacy, outreach, social service program management (implementation, collaboration, facilitation), and grant writing. Monica holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Union Institute and University, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Wiley College, and a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Texas at Arlington.
