A member of NLADA’s Legal Services team, Casey works on NLADA’s Project to Advance Civil Legal Aid Collaborations, helping to increase non-LSC federal funding that supports civil legal aid’s ability to build and sustain cross-sector collaborations to serve low-income and vulnerable populations. Casey previously worked with The Justice in Government Project at the American University Justice Programs Office, helping to identify and demonstrate how civil legal services can improve outcomes for state and local government policies, programs, and priorities. Casey received her Master of Science in Justice & Public Policy from The American University, where she received the university’s most prestigious academic award for her research on access to justice and disability. Casey’s research has appeared in the Family Court Review, MIE Journal, Disability & Society, and others.
