Jamie Gullen (she/her) is the Managing Attorney of the Employment Unit and Youth Justice Project at Community Legal Services, where she has worked as an attorney since graduating from law school in 2012. Jamie's work focuses on access to employment opportunities particularly for young people with juvenile or criminal records. Jamie leads CLS's community-based record clearing clinics program, and is part of the team that advocated for, passed, and implemented the first Clean Slate law in the country - leading to over 45 million cases being sealed through automated technology to date. Jamie also founded and leads CLS's Youth Justice Project, which provides community-based holistic legal services to young people and hosts a fellowship program for youth with lived experience. Prior to law school, Jamie taught elementary school in the South Bronx through Teach for America. Jamie earned her J.D. cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2012. She received her B.S. from Cornell University in 2007, and M.S. in Teaching from Pace University in 2009.
