Kimberly Sanchez is the chief executive officer of Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida. After graduating from the University of Miami School of Law in 2005, she began her legal career in the public interest unit with Legal Services of Greater Miami. After years in private practice representing Central Florida consumers, she came to CLSMF, where she led CLSMF’s Housing and Fair Housing Units until her promotion to advocacy/deputy director. As the advocacy and deputy director, Ms. Sanchez managed the litigation for the law firm and worked to create organization-wide litigation goals and vision. She supervised and managed the firm’s substantive law units, including 30 lawyers and numerous staff persons in eight offices spanning 12 counties. Ms. Sanchez has taught as an adjunct professor at the Florida A&M University College of Law and the University of Miami School of Law. She is an active member of the Florida Bar Public Interest Section, President of the Florida Civil Legal Aid Association, appointed to The Florida Bar Voluntary Bar Liaison Committee and the American Bar Association Standing Committee on the Delivery of Legal Services.
