Michael Carter is a supervising attorney at the Neighborhood Defender Service of Detroit. He is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School and the University of Michigan, where he received a B.A. in English. Before joining the Neighborhood Defender Service, he worked as a deputy defender for the Federal Community Defender Office in Detroit and as a staff attorney in the trial division for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Michael currently sits on the board of directors of the Detroit Justice Center, the ACLU of Michigan, and the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan.
